OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Authorities in Oklahoma City are reporting injuries after responding to an accident outside of the Shepherd Mall early Wednesday evening.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the incident occurred at about 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 23rd Street and North Villa Avenue near the Shepherd Mall.

Two collisions reported in north Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -Two separate collisions within 20 minutes of each other have been reported north of Oklahoma City Wednesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the first incident occurred a the intersection of Northwest 63rd Street and Northwest Expressway at about 10:05 a.m. The second accident happened several blocks away at the 4400 block of North Meridian Avenue.

One Injured in large Fire at Oklahoma City recycling plant

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man was hospitalized with smoke inhalation and second-degree burns following an explosion and fire northeast of Oklahoma City Monday evening.

According to KFOR, the explosion occurred at a metal recycling plant sometime in the late afternoon Monday. The fire caused by the explosion lasted several hours and filled the sky with thick black smoke.

The blaze has since been contained. The man was transported to a local hospital to treat his injuries and is in stable condition.

The incident occur at about 10:54 a.m. Tuesday morning along Northwest 63rd Street in the neighborhood of Lakeside, according to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker. No word has been released on the severity of the crash or how many were injured in the resulting blaze.

This situation is ongoing and more details will be provided as they are made available by authorities. However, delays are likely along the portion of 63rd St. near Brookline Avenue throughout the early afternoon on Tuesday.

Reported Vehicle Fire in downtown Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK –  Fire officials in Oklahoma City responded to a reported vehicle fire just east of downtown Tuesday morning.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m at the intersection of East Reno Avenue and South Martin Luther King Avenue near the I-40 on-ramp.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. However this portion of South Martin Luther King Ave. is likely to be shut down for most of Tuesday morning while authorities extinguish the blaze and investigate the cause.

UPDATE: Wrong way driver collides with semi-truck

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A wrong-way crash on I-44 near Classen Boulevard early Friday morning left a female driver in critical condition.

According to KFOR, a 24-year-old female behind the wheel of a Chevy Malibu was driving eastbound in a westbound lane around 2:00 a.m.when she hit a semi-truck head-on. The truck driver tried to avoid the accident and skidded off the roadway and into a guard rail. 

The driver of the Malibu was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries in the crash.

Authorities are still investigating what may have caused her to travel into oncoming traffic at the time of the incident. This story is ongoing and more details will be provided as they become available.

Fuel Spill causes Fire in Stone Meadows

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK –  Fire officials in Oklahoma City were called to a fuel spill that erupted into flames Monday evening.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the spill occurred at 5301 West Indian Hills Road west of Interstate 35 at approximately 7:20 p.m.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the spill and authorities have not released what may have caused it to catch fire. This portion of Indian Hills Rd. will likely be closed for most of Monday evening until the fire can be put out and spill cleaned up.

Crash and Fuel spill closes lanes on I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in Oklahoma City had to close several lanes on Interstate 40 following a crash Monday afternoon.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Twitter, the crash occurred around 11:30 am near the Meridian Avenue off-ramp Monday. The incident narrowed the interstate to one lane for a few hours causing authorities to maneuver traffic to the surrounding exits.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash, nor has the cause been released. However, all of the lanes, as well as the off-ramp, were subsequently reopened.

Three people arrested after late night pursuit, crash in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Oklahoma City Police took three people into custody following a Sunday night chase that ended with a collision.

According to News9, the pursuit began at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Northwest 39th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The chase did not go far as the vehicle crashed by a gas station at North May Avenue. One occupant was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It has not been made clear why the pursuit issued or what the charges are as of yet. However, this story is ongoing and more details will be provided as the investigation continues.
