Rollover truck accident closes part of I-35

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A rollover crash involving a semi-truck caused part of Interstate 35 to be shut down Saturday morning.

News 9 reports that the accident happened on I-35, near Northeast 50th Street when a semi-truck turned over. While it is unknown at this time what caused the accident, witnesses report it was raining heavily in the area at the time.

There is no information available on the condition or identity of the driver.

Authorities cleared the crash from the highway around 7:30 a.m.

Several Troopers injured in motorcade crash for another fallen officer

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Multiple Troopers have been hospitalized in critical condition following a motorcycle crash Thursday morning during a procession for a Tulsa Officer killed in the line of duty.

According to News 9, an SUV pulled out in front of the motorcade along the Kilpatrick Turnpike westbound in Oklahoma City. Emergency services transported all of the officers to local hospitals. No word on their conditions has been released yet.

The motorcade was transporting the body of Sgt. Craig Johnson who was fatally shot following a Tulsa traffic stop earlier in the week.

Trooper involved in Oklahoma City Crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper was involved in an accident northeast of Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

According to News 9, the accident occurred at the intersection of Northeast 63rd Street and Kelley Street north of downtown Oklahoma City. The trooper was traveling westbound on 63rd St. when he struck a motorist driving north on Kelly Ave. after one of them ran a red light.

Details regarding which driver ran the light have not yet been made available. The civilian was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries while the trooper was treated at the scene.

Oklahoma City Motorcycle accident leaves one in critical condition

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -A motorcyclist was hospitalized following an accident along Interstate 44 near Oklahoma City Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred along I-44 northbound near the intersection with Airport Road at about 7:10 p.m. according to KFOR.

The driver, a 26-year-old male from Louisiana, was tossed from the motorcycle after losing control and leaving the freeway at a high rate of speed. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities believe speed was a major factor in causing the crash. Information regarding the identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been made available.

Multiple arrests following Del City police chase

DEL CITY, OK – Two men are in custody following a police chase that lasted for several miles in Del City Wednesday afternoon.

According to News 9, the pursuit began at the residential intersection of Hillside Drive and Hartsdel Drive. The two men sped away as police were attempting to pull them over, prompting a chase that included officers from both Oklahoma City and Del City.

Stop sticks were used to flatten the tires and stop the fleeing suspects in a gas station parking lot near South East 44th Street and Bryant Avenue.

Raquon Bishop, 19, and Devantae Freeman, 25,  were both arrested and charged with multiple violations, including eluding police and the illegal possession of firearms.

2 Hospitalized, 1 arrested following a DUI rollover on I-44

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two people have been hospitalized and another arrested following a rollover car crash on Interstate 44 early Tuesday morning.

An intoxicated driver rolled their vehicle while attempting to take the ramp from Interstate 44 to Interstate 40, at around 4:00 a.m., according to News 9.

The unidentified operator of the vehicle did not sustain any serious injuries and was arrested at the scene. However, two passengers were transported to OU Medical Center for treatment.

Fuel Spill causes Fire in Stone Meadows

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK –  Fire officials in Oklahoma City were called to a fuel spill that erupted into flames Monday evening.

According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the spill occurred at 5301 West Indian Hills Road west of Interstate 35 at approximately 7:20 p.m.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the spill and authorities have not released what may have caused it to catch fire. This portion of Indian Hills Rd. will likely be closed for most of Monday evening until the fire can be put out and spill cleaned up.
