Collision shuts down busy southwest Oklahoma City exit ramp

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Commuters in southwest Oklahoma City were faced with major delays following a collision on a busy exit ramp during Monday evening’s rush-hour traffic.

According to a tweet by OHP, the accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. within the northbound exit ramp from I-44 to Southwest 59th Street.

At least one person was reportedly injured as a result of the crash. However, the extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.

The exit ramp was blocked for over an hour, reopening shortly after 5:30 p.m.
