Construction Worker Dead After Car Collision

The construction worker who died after being struck by a vehicle has been identified, a January 16 article of Oklahoma’s News 4 reported.

Before 6:00 PM Wednesday, Oklahoma City Police officer were called to an accident in the 14700 block of S. Peebly Road. 31-year-old Zachary Bailey was in the middle of the northbound lanes trying to divert traffic around an unmarked construction site. Because he was wearing dark clothing, a GMC Yukon XL driver was not able to see him in time to avoid collision. Bailey was sent to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
