Crash kills two on Creek Turnpike

TULSA, OK –  A crash on westbound Creek Turnpike near South Yale Street killed two Monday morning, according to News 8.

The vehicle was traveling at around 80 mph when the driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing it to go up the embankment and crash into the overpass. The force of the collision ejected both the driver and the passenger and the truck landed upside down.

Officers on the scene said both occupants, a man and a woman, were killed by the accident. The incident is still under investigation. The exact time of the accident is unknown, but it did happen before 6:30 Monday morning.
