Crews respond to semi-truck accident on I-40 in west Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A semi-truck crash Saturday evening caused a traffic backup on Interstate 40 near the Westbury neighborhood in west Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

Emergency crews responded to the scene near Morgan Road. The crash was first reported by KOCO shortly after 6:00 p.m.

Few details have been shared regarding the circumstances behind the wreck, but footage captured at the scene suggests two semi-trucks were involved. One semi appeared to have sustained extensive damage, with parts of the vehicle’s rear-end torn off.

As of this writing, officials have not reported any injuries in the crash.

The cause of the accident remains unclear at this time.
