CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK — A man was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision involving a cement truck on Oklahoma Highway 9 near east Norman, reports News9.

The fatal wreck occurred on a span of the highway between 120th Avenue Southeast and 132nd Avenue Southeast. It was first reported shortly after 5:30 a.m.

An early investigation indicates the man was driving a pickup truck westbound on the highway when, for reasons still being investigated, he veered past the median and entered the eastbound lane. Moments later, the pickup collided with an oncoming cement truck.

Authorities confirmed the driver of the pickup died from his injuries at the scene.

No injuries to the other driver were reported.

A section of the highway was shut down in both directions during the response and investigation.
