Driver hurt as SUV collides with ambulance in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was injured Monday morning when their SUV collided with an EMSA ambulance near a hospital in northwest Oklahoma City, reports FOX 25.

Oklahoma City Police said the accident took place outside INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but the Emergency Medical Services Authority vehicle was transporting a patient at the time.

The driver of the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Officials said the ambulance’s medics, who were not reported hurt, proceeded to the hospital to drop their patient off.

No further information has been provided at this time.
