Driver injured after colliding with vehicle and tree in south Piedmont

PIEDMONT, OK – One person was injured northwest of Oklahoma City yesterday in a two-car collision that slowed rush-hour traffic in the area, according to the Piedmont-Surrey Gazette.

The crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. in south Piedmont, near the intersection of Northwest Expressway and Piedmont Road, when a driver lost control of their vehicle, a black car.

The driver collided with another vehicle and then a tree before finally coming to a stop.

The driver, who has yet to be publicly identified, was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

No injuries were reported for the occupants of the second vehicle.

The collision caused morning traffic in the area to be delayed as authorities investigated.
