Driver Injured After SUV And Train Collision

A driver was hospitalized after his car was struck by a train, a February 9 article of KXII reported.

The crash occurred near State Highway 1 around 9:00 PM Saturday. 51-year-old Joe Lyons was crossing the railroad but failed to see the oncoming BNSF train obscured by another stationary train. The collision sent his SUV flying half a mile along the tracks. Afterwards, he was sent to an area hospital before being transferred to another hospital in Oklahoma City to get treatment.
