Driver injured as truck crashes into SSA building in NE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was hurt early Friday when a truck they were driving hit a Social Security Administration building in northeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene at the corner of Northeast 122nd Street and Kelley Avenue. It was first reported by KOCO reporter Kylie Walker at 5:50 a.m.

The circumstances behind the wreck remain unclear at this time, but officials said the truck had traveled down an embankment just prior to striking the building.

First responders transported the driver to a local hospital with minor injuries.

No other occupants were in the truck, and the building was vacant at the time of the crash.

At this time, authorities have not shared a possible cause of the accident.
