Driver rear-ends car, critically injures 2 on I-44

TULSA, OK – Two people were critically injured following a two-car collision on westbound I-44 near Lewis Ave Tuesday, KTUL reports.

Traffic was slowing down on I-44 near Lewis ave because of ongoing construction. The driver of a gray car failed to slow down and rear-ended a white car attempting to turn onto the Lewis Ave exit.

First responders transported two people from the hospital to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver of the gray car was also taken to the hospital. He is expected to be OK.
