LOGAN COUNTY, OK — A 91-year-old Comanche woman was hospitalized last Tuesday after a two-vehicle collision near south Meridian, according to The Comanche Times.
The accident occurred on a span of Oliver Road east of Old Highway 81 on June 14.
An early investigation indicates a 52-year-old Duncan man was driving a pickup truck when he struck a car driven by the victim.
The victim and a witness told officials the man then tried to drive away from the scene, but the pickup was no longer operable.
Authorities said the victim suffered a serious wrist injury along with other minor scrapes and bruises. She was taken by ambulance to Duncan Regional Hospital.
A court report shows the man either refused or delayed taking a field sobriety test multiple times before he finally submitted. Officials noted he failed each test.
The suspect was arrested and has since been charged with DUI, in addition to “driving with license revoked, failure to maintain insurance and failure to pay taxes due state.”
