Elderly man killed in semitruck accident

CIMARRON COUNTY, OK – Officials say a semitruck driver died in a crash in Cimarron County on Thursday afternoon, according to KSCB.

82-year-old Jerry Donald Hayworth was driving a 1999 Freightliner north on US-287 when he crashed into farm equipment that was obstructing the road.

Police say the semitruck veered off to the right before crashing onto its side.

Hayworth pinned for nearly 2 hours before he was freed. He died at the scene due to severe injuries.
