Elderly woman dead, child seriously injured after Rogers County crash

GREGORY, OK (ROGERS COUNTY) – An elderly woman was killed and a child was severely injured in a collision on Highway 412 in Rogers County yesterday morning, according to information from KFOR.

The crash happened in Gregory on eastbound Hwy 412 near Gregory School Road at around 11:43 a.m., when a 2006 Jeep Liberty and a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze collided.

The driver of the Cruze, 92-year-old Tulsa resident Georgiv Snelson, was taken to the hospital in Tulsa, where she later was pronounced dead.

A male child was pinned within the wreckage for an undisclosed amount of time. He was airlifted to the same hospital in Tulsa with multiple critical injuries, including those to the head and torso.

The driver of the Jeep, a 28-year-old man from Siloam Springs, Arkansas, was not reported as injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
