Explosion at Kerr Dam traps, kills two workers

TULSA, OK – The bodies of two workers were trapped inside Kerr Dam following an explosion were found dead Friday morning, reports ABC 8.

Contractors hit a methane pocket while conducting core-sample drilling which cause an explosion around 6 p.m.

Three workers were trapped in the mine. One of the workers was extricated by emergency crews and he refused treatment for his injuries.

The other two were stuck 80 ft down in a shaft. Their bodies were discovered by recovery crews Friday morning.
