Fire crews respond to 2 house fires in Spencer, suspect arrested for arson

SPENCER, OK – Emergency crews were on the scene of two house fires just blocks away from each other in Spencer early Thursday morning.
According to KOCO, fire crews responded to the first fire around 3:30 a.m. at Northeast 50th Street and Douglas Boulevard. They were able to evacuate the residents.
Another house fire just two blocks away was reported around 5 a.m.
Spencer Police arrested one suspect under suspicion of starting both fires. The suspect’s identity has not yet been released awaiting formal charges.
No word on whether anyone suffered injuries was shared. An investigation is ongoing.
