Fire destroys house in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, OK – Fire officials in Midwest city responded to a residential fire northeast of downtown early Monday morning.

According to News on 6, neighbors reported the fire in a home near the intersection of Northeast 23rd Street and Midwest Boulevard before 6:00 a.m. Officials say approximately 40% of the home was scorched in the fire.

Neighbors told the fire department the house was vacant at the time of the blaze. No information on what may have caused the fire as been released.
