Four People Hospitalized After SUV Crashed Into Home

Four people were hospitalized after their vehicle crashed into a house, a March 3 news clip of KTUL reported.

The accident occurred on Monday, at a home near South 124th East Avenue and East 16th Street. An SUV took off as police were attempting to pull it over. The vehicle slammed through several stop signs but went through the intersection and into a house. The driver was identified as Christian Newkirk who had a $250,000 felony warrant. The passengers were his ex-wife Candi Lewis, a teenager, and a baby. All of them were taken to the hospital following the incident. As a result, Newkirk was charged with felony eluding, and two charges of felony child endangerment, on top of his existing warrant.
