Guymon man dead, 2 people injured in Beaver County collision

BALKO, OK (BEAVER COUNTY) – A head-on collision in Beaver County led to the death of a man from Guymon and the injury of two people yesterday, according to KAMR.

The accident happened at about 5:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 412, near County Road 124, when 23-year-old Emanuel Alvarez Alonzo, of Guymon, crossed over the center of the roadway and into the lane of oncoming traffic.

He collided head-on with another vehicle headed westbound on US-412, pinning the driver of the vehicle inside the wreckage.

Alvarez Alonzo was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The driver was extricated by emergency crews and, along with a passenger hurt in the accident, was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
