I-44 crash result in injury, downed power lines

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Commuters near downtown Oklahoma City were faced with delays following a major collision on I-44 Monday afternoon.
According to a tweet by OHP, the crash occurred just after 1:30 p.m. within the northbound lanes of I-44 near the exit to Northwest 10th Street.

The cause of the crash is not mentioned in the report. Troopers say at least one person was injured and a utility pole knocked down as a result.
Both the north and southbound lanes were shut down for over two hours while emergency crews worked at the scene. All lanes were reopened at about 3:46 p.m.
