Injuries reported in Coweta ATV crash

COWETA, OK – A woman from Porter was hospitalized after sustaining injuries in an ATV accident in rural Coweta Sunday evening.

According to Tulsa World, 65-year-old Kimberly Slater was riding an ATV southbound on 385th E. Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle and departed the roadway, rolling onto its side before coming to a stop. Police believe excessive speed played a role in the crash.

Slater was taken to St. John Hospital to be treated for head and internal injuries. She is reportedly in stable condition.
