A man died Friday afternoon after an Oklahoma car accident.
According to officials with the Oklahoma City Police, 71 year-old Norman Casey was pronounced dead at Oklahoma University Medical Center shortly after 2:00 p.m. Friday.
Sergeant Jennifer Wardlow said Casey apparently had a medical episode and lost consciousness before crossing left of the center line as he was eastbound on Northwest Highway 122. Wadlow said a witness saw a man slumped over the wheel as his vehicle went left of the centerline.
Casey’s vehicle collided with a westbound truck. Two other vehicles were unable to avoid the wreck and crashed into Casey’s vehicle.
Casey was transported by ambulance to OU Medical Center following the crash. The nature and extent of his injuries are not known.
The other people involved in the accident were not seriously injured, Wadlow said.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends.
