WAGONER COUNTY, OK — A 31-year-old man died Saturday after being hit by a car while loading another vehicle onto a tow truck on U.S. Highway 69 in Wagoner, reports KFOR.

The fatal incident occurred on the southbound lanes of US-69 just south of East 750 Road. First responders were called to the scene at about 6:45 p.m.

An early investigation indicates the victim was on the shoulder loading a vehicle onto the wrecker when he was hit by a southbound 2006 Cadillac DeVille. Officials said the Cadillac rolled multiple times and came to rest on its roof.

The male pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac was transported to a local hospital for a head injury, where they have since been released.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported. An investigation remains in progress.
