Man injured after Camaro collides with tree in Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, OK (TULSA COUNTY) – A 34-year-old man was injured and pinned beneath the wreckage of a car following a single-vehicle crash west of Tulsa.

According to the Tulsa World, the accident happened yesterday in Sand Springs on Hwy 51, near Avery Drive, when Sand Springs man Robert Nance, operating a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro, lost control of his vehicle.

The Camaro went off the side of the roadway before colliding with a tree and pinning Nance inside for about 15 minutes.

Nance was taken to the hospital in Tulsa for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, including those to the leg and torso.

No other people were reported as injured in the accident.
