Man killed in early-morning pedestrian crash in Wagoner County

WAGONER, OK – A pedestrian died after being hit by a driver early this morning in Wagoner County, according to information from KFOR News.

The crash happened about five miles north of Wagoner, near the intersection of S 297 Road and E690 at about 12:24 a.m.

Wagoner resident Avery Michael Rogers, 40, was struck by the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, also a man from Wagoner.

Rogers was taken to the hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.

The driver was not hurt in the crash.

The circumstances leading to the collision were not immediately available. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
