A man who was recently hospitalized in Oklahoma City due to dog bite injuries inflicted by five pit bulls has died

Reports said Edgar Brown, 60, died on October 16 at OU Medical Center due to several complications after being attacked by his friend’s pit bulls. According to Edgar’s brother, Dexter Brown, Edgar had been asked to go to the friend’s rental property to take out the trash. While doing this favor, Edgar was attacked by five pit bulls who were living on the rental property.

A passing stranger was able to get the dogs off of Edgar and transport him to the hospital, where his condition deteriorated for two weeks. According to Brown, the victim suffered a number of complication during his stay in the hospital, including an infection that necessitated the amputation of several limbs and a heart attack that required a triple bypass operation.

While all of the dogs have been put down, Edgar’s family is attempting to have criminal charges brought against their owner for the death of their family member.
