Oklahoma Senate candidate injured in OKC hit-and-run

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Abby Broyles, the Democratic nominee for a seat in the U.S. Senate, was injured following a hit-and-run collision north of Oklahoma City Sunday night.

According to KOCO, the incident occurred near the intersection of Memorial Road and Western Avenue north of downtown Oklahoma City.

Broyles was proceeding through a traffic light when another vehicle ran the light and collided with her vehicle in the intersection. The other driver fled the scene without rendering assistance to Broyles.

Luckily, only minor injuries were sustained in the crash and Broyles is recovering at home. Details on the driver who fled the scene of the crash have not yet been made available.
