CHICKASHA, OK (GRADY COUNTY) – One man died and another was critically injured Friday night in a speeding-related crash in Grady County, according to KFOR.

The accident happened at 8:49 p.m. at the ramp for Exit 83 on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike (Interstate 44). A Dodge Ram 1500 containing victims 43-year-old Reford E. Alcorn and 25-year-old Billy M. Johnson, both of Chickasha, was traveling over the speed limit when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Dodge then rolled over multiple times and ejected both passengers from the pickup truck.

Alcorn died at the scene, and Johnson was transported to an Oklahoma City hospital for the treatment of critical injuries, including those to the head, torso, arm, leg, and internal organs. Neither of the men was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

It is unclear at this point which of the two men was the driver of the pickup truck.
