One Injured in large Fire at Oklahoma City recycling plant

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man was hospitalized with smoke inhalation and second-degree burns following an explosion and fire northeast of Oklahoma City Monday evening.

According to KFOR, the explosion occurred at a metal recycling plant sometime in the late afternoon Monday. The fire caused by the explosion lasted several hours and filled the sky with thick black smoke.

The blaze has since been contained. The man was transported to a local hospital to treat his injuries and is in stable condition.
