Overturned semi blocks westbound lanes on I-40

CUSTER CO., OK – Troopers blocked several lanes on I-40 after a semi-truck overturned on Wednesday morning.
According to a tweet by OHP, the accident took place at about 8:22 a.m. within the westbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 80.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, all westbound lanes were shut down for several hours while emergency crews worked to remove the truck from the roadway. All lanes were reopened shortly after 2 p.m.
No injuries have been reported as a direct result of the crash.
