Pedestrian fatally hit by train in SE Norman

CLEVELAND COUNTY, OK — One person died Thursday afternoon after being struck by a train near Oak Tree South Park in southeast Norman, according to News9.
The fatal incident occurred on the tracks in an area north of State Highway 9 and south of East Constitution Street, shortly before 1:00 p.m.
Details are limited at this time, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A section of East Constitution Street was shut down as Norman Police responded.
Officials indicated the closure would likely remain in place for a few hours during an investigation.
