Pedestrian hit, killed by car on NW 112th St in far NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person died late Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Northwest 112th Street in far northwest Oklahoma City, reports KFOR.

The fatal incident took place near the intersection with North County Line Road, in an area northeast of Yukon. First responders arrived on the scene shortly after 10:00 p.m.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, two pedestrians were walking in the roadway when a car approached. The driver told authorities they initially only saw one person when they swerved and ended up striking the other person.

Officials confirmed the victim died as a result of their injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.

The OCPD noted both pedestrians were wearing dark-colored clothing at the time of the event, which made them difficult to see.
