Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver on I-40 WB near Clinton

CUSTER COUNTY, OK — One person died last Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle on the Interstate 40 service road near east Clinton, according to FOX25.

The Oklahoma Highway patrol said the fatal incident occurred on the westbound road about a half-mile west of mile marker 71, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Details are limited at this time, but troopers said the driver fled the scene after the crash, and the victim died at the scene.

As of this writing, officials have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
