Pedestrian killed in late-night crash on I-35 in Norman

NORMAN, OK – A pedestrian walking across I-35 in Norman was fatally struck by a driver late last night, according to information from KFOR News.

The incident happened on I-35 S near mile marker 106 at around 10:54 p.m., as 42-year-old Blanchard man Christopher Paxton was walking across the interstate. He was then hit by the driver of a 1999 Buick LeSabre headed southbound.

Paxton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, remained at the scene following the crash. They were not hurt in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
