Pilot dead after small plane crashes in field near Inola

INOLA, OK (ROGERS COUNTY) – A pilot was killed after a small plane crashed near State Highway 88 in Rogers County this morning, according to information from KTUL.
The accident occurred in a field near Inola, near OK-88 and E 560 Road, at some point before 10:30 a.m., after a single-occupant, fixed-wing Cessna aircraft took off from Tulsa.
The pilot, who was identified only as an out-of-state resident, was pronounced dead after the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
