OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One suspect is dead after a police pursuit in southwest Oklahoma City ended in a fatal crash on Wednesday morning, reports News on 9.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the chase began at the intersection of Interstate 240 and Western Avenue when troopers discovered the license plate of the suspect vehicle was stolen.

The suspects led troopers on a chase to the area of Southwest 119th Street between Rockwell Avenue and Meridian Avenue, at one point driving through a school’s field.

Oklahoma City Police Department officers responded to calls for backup and ended the pursuit with a tactical driving maneuver that caused the fleeing vehicle to spin out near 5800 Southwest 119th Street.

Two of the three people from the suspect vehicle were ejected in the crash.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say one suspect was killed in the accident. It is currently unclear if either of the other suspects were injured.
