Police investigate car crash in Garvin County

GARVIN COUNTY, OK – According to KFOR, police are investigating a car accident that left a driver with severe injuries.

According to officials, the accident happened south on Interstate 35, six miles north of Pauls Valley on Thursday morning.

65-year-old Kenneth Gene Phipps was driving a 2009 Ford F250 when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed multiple lanes and crashed into a tree.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Phipps is currently in the hospital with critical injuries.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
