Pregnant woman, unborn child killed after driver runs through stop sign

CHECOTAH, OK (MUSKOGEE COUNTY) – A pregnant woman and her unborn child died in Muskogee County yesterday after their vehicle was struck by a driver who ran a stop sign.

According to KFOR, the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 64 and Old Taft Road, at about 6 a.m., when the driver of a 2020 Kia Rio drove through a stop sign and crashed into a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic.

29-year-old Shelby Deluce, a passenger in the Chevrolet, and her unborn child were killed at the scene.

The drivers were not reported as injured.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision at this time.
