A recent announcement by the German auto company, BMW, has revealed that 1.3 million cars are being recalled due to battery problems.

The announcement is an international one, with approximately 367,000 of those vehicles being recalled in the United States. The luxury automaker mentioned that a problem with a battery cable cover could lead to unwanted overheating and fires. The BMW 5 Series and 6 Series that were manufactured between 2004 and 2010 are affected by the recall.

Owners of these vehicles are advised not to drive them until they are able to have the problem repaired. Representatives for BMW said that the problem will only take 30 minutes to fix at a local BMW dealer. No injuries have yet to be reported.
