Semi-truck crashes off I-44 EB near north Oklahoma City mall

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A semi-truck accident was reported Wednesday morning on Interstate 44 near Penn Square Mall in north Oklahoma City, reports News9.

The collision occurred off the eastbound interstate between Pennsylvania Avenue and North Western Avenue. It was first reported by News9 at 10:27 a.m.

Details are limited, but aerial footage captured at the scene suggests the semi drove through a barrier along the roadway. The vehicle appeared to have jackknifed as it came to rest in a grassy area.

As of this writing, officials have not reported any injuries in the wreck.

The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.
