Semi-trucks collide, causing backup on the Turner Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a crash between two semi-trucks Thursday afternoon.

According to News 9, the crash occurred within the eastbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike close to Douglas Avenue.

Originally, officials reported a fatality resulting from the collision. However, it was later confirmed no one had died, but that one person was sent to a local hospital with minor injuries.

No other injuries have been reported. All lanes that had been closed along the turnpike have since been reopened.
