OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Ten people have died in wrong-way collisions over the last three weeks, according to city officials.

KOCO 5 reports that six such collisions have happened have been reported in the space of 22 days, and that police investigators believe that alcohol consumption was a factor in nearly all of them.

DUI may well have been at play in the incident that we reported on early this evening.

Officers are continuing to investigate this tragically preventable string of accidents. We will update this blog with additional details on these tragically preventable incidents should they become available. However, the only way to prevent drunk driving accidents is to abstain from drinking before getting behind the wheel.
