Student airlifted to the hospital after being struck by bus in Ponca City

PONCA CITY, OK – A student was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a bus in Ponca City yesterday afternoon, according to KFOR.

The crash occurred on Prentice Road, in eastern Ponca City, at about 4 p.m., when a juvenile pedestrian was struck by a bus, which still had a few students on board.

The student was taken to the hospital in Ponca City, and from there, was airlifted to another hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The students who were still on the bus were later picked up by their parents.

The accident remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
