Update: Victim of deadly Broken Arrow crash with semi-truck identified

BROKEN ARROW, OK – The name of the woman killed after colliding with a semi-truck Tuesday morning at Elm Place and Greely St has been released by officials, News 9 reports.

Taylor Thesenvitz, 34, was driving on southbound Elm Pl. As she approached the intersection with Greely St, she strayed into the northbound lanes and was struck by a semi-truck. The impact sent Thesenvitz’s sedan into a ditch.

First responders arrived on the scene around 6:10 a.m. They closed down the intersection for several hours to investigate the collision and clean up the wreckage.

Man to be charged for deadly crash near Ceena that killed 3

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man who plead guilty to charges in relation to a crash that killed two in April of 2019 will be sentenced for the crime on Tuesday, reports KFOR.

The incident began at the intersection of S.W. 40th St and Villa Ave. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop. The SUV, which was occupied by driver Andrew Munoz and passenger Deanna Alvarez, appeared like it was going to comply with orders to pull over but then sped off.

Police pursued the SUV at speeds around 80 MPH.  Munoz ran the stop sign at the intersection of S.W. 44th St. and Villa Ave and crashed into a vehicle occupied by Tonya Horn, her husband Eric Horn, and their 8-year-old daughter.

Tonya and the daughter were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Eric suffered serious injuries.

According to investigators, the SUV driven by Munoz was stolen. Officers also discovered firearms and drugs inside the vehicle.

Police charged Munoz with two counts of first-degree murder, causing an accident while driving a vehicle without a proper driver’s license, unauthorized use of a vehicle, trafficking in illegal drugs, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of proceeds derived from a violation of CDS.

Munoz entered a blind plea to all the charges. He will be sentenced for these charges on Tuesday in court.

Pedestrian walks onto I-244, struck, killed by semi-truck

TULSA, OK – A man was struck and killed by a semi-truck on I-244 Tuesday evening, reports News on 6.

At around 6:45 p.m. a semi-truck was traveling on westbound I-244. As it approached the intersection with Main St, the pedestrian walked out onto the street and was struck by the semi.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Investigators are working to try and determine the cause of the collision.

Update: Driver on Turner Turnpike strikes, kills man

KELLYVILLE, OK – The person who was struck by a car on the Turner Turnpike Friday evening has been identified, reports News on 6.

Donovan Knippenburg, 44, was on the eastbound section of the Turner Turnpike near Kellyville when they were struck by a vehicle.

First responders were dispatched to the area after receiving a call concerning the accident at 11:07 p.m. Once they arrived, they pronounced Knippenburg dead at the scene.

The events leading up to the crash are unknown at this time.

Crash south of Davis kills one, injures another

DAVIS, OK – One person lost their life and another was hospitalized following a collision near Davis on Saturday, reports The Daily Ardmoreite.

The crash occurred on northbound I-35 two miles south of Davis. A Nissan Sentra strayed off the road and into a trailer attached to a GMC pickup.

The crash ejected a passenger through the Nissan’s windshield. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was hospitalized in critical condition at OU Medical Center.

Law enforcement is still investigating the cause of the crash.

Tegan Donovan Rawlins, 22, was driving on the Muskogee Turnpike at around 3:30 when he strayed off the road and into a bridge.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.

Crash near Okemah kills two

OKEMAH, OK – A car accident on Wednesday evening in Okfuskee County killed two people, reports KTUL.

The crash happened somewhere on I-40 east of Okemah and was reported to the Highway Patrol at 8:45 p.m.

Richard Johnston, 70, and his wife, Connie Johnston, age unknown, were heading east on I-40 when the vehicle strayed off the highway and into a tree. The Johnstons were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
