Motorcyclist in Del Mar Laning hospitalized after striking attenuator

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after slamming into an attenuator on Sunday afternoon, reports Guthrie News Page.

Gary L Staley, 60, was riding a Harley Davidson on I-40 around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

As Staley got onto the ramp from westbound I-40 to southbound I-35, he lost control of the motorcycle, left the road, and slammed into an attenuator.

The impact launched Staley 71 ft into a bridge support. Staley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

He was hospitalized at OU Medical Center with injuries to both his external and internal trunk, head, arms, and legs.
