Woman dies in Lawton crash

LAWTON, OK –  A women is dead after a crash in Caddo County this afternoon, according to KSWO.

Officials say Carol Cody, 52, was heading east on County Road 1470 near US-277 when she was struck by a rock hauler.

According to police, the impact pinned Cody in her vehicle for two hours before the local Fire Department could free her.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says she failed to stop at a stop sign before the accident.

Cody died from injuries sustained in the impact.

The driver of the rock hauler was unharmed.

Man injured in October 5 crash in Stillwater dies

STILLWATER, OK – A man who was seriously injured in multi-vehicle accident an October 5th died on Friday, according to the Stillwater News Press.

According to police, the accident occurred on State Highway 51, when a Lexus driven by 19-year-old Terrell Williams rear-ended Cody Barlow’s GMC Sierra and sent it into the highway’s intersection with Country Club Road. The pickup truck struck a curb, went airborne, and landed on the driver’s side.

The 38-year-old Barlow as airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he died four days later.

Williams was hospitalized at Stillwater Medical Center. Police suspect he was driving under the influence at the time of the collision.

Woman dies in multi-vehicle crash in Wagoner Co.

WAGONER COUNTY, OK – A woman is dead following a two-car crash that occurred on Tuesday near S.W. 15th Street, according to the Wagoner County American Tribune.

Local police say the woman was exiting the River Pointe Apartments complex at around 10 a.m. when she pulled out in front of a pickup truck.

According to officials, the pickup truck ran into her driver’s side door, pushing the vehicle into a nearby ditch.

Police say the woman died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the truck went sent to the hospital and later released.

Passenger killed in pickup rollover in Woodward Co.

WOODWARD CO., OK – A man was killed Sunday morning when the driver of the pickup in which he was a passenger lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an embankment.

According to News 9, the truck was westbound on Country Road 42 when its driver suddenly accelerated, causing the vehicle to spin out. The truck left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.

A passenger later identified as Tyler Anthony Edwards was partially expelled from the cab. Emergency responders took the 26-year-old to Woodward Hospital, where he died of severe head trauma.

The driver and a second passenger were unhurt.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

Police investigate fatal accident in Choctaw County

CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK – Police say a man from Paris, Texas died in an accident in Choctaw County on Friday morning, according to News 12.

Oklahoma state troopers say 33-year-old Jerrod Maberry was traveling west on State Highway 109 East, southeast of Sawyer, when he crashed into a tree. Maberry died at the scene.

Police are investigating what may have caused the accident.

TULSA, OK – Officials say a woman was killed in an overnight accident in Okmulgee County on Sunday, according to News on 6.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident occurred on Conifer Road approximately five miles north and two miles west of Henryetta.

The driver, Kayla Dawson, crashed her 2011 Ford Escape and became pinned inside.

First responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.

Teen killed in Garvin County crash

GARVIN COUNTY, OK – An 18-year-old driver was involved in a fatal accident when her truck skidded off the road near Wynnewood Sunday evening, according to KOKH.

The accident occurred along Indian Meridian Road when Alexandria Morrison, 18, from Pauls Valley drove her Ford F-150 off the road and collided into an embankment around 6:00 p.m.

Morrison was pronounced dead upon Emergency Services’ arrival at the scene. Oklahoma Highway Patrol does not believe Morrison had her seatbelt when the crash happened.

Man dies in car crash that injures state senator

OKLAHOMA, OK – One person died Friday morning in a car crash which also injured State Senator Allison Ikley-Freeman, according to News9.

Ikley-Freeman was returning to Oklahoma City for a legislative session when she and Enrique Lopez collided on the Turner Turnpike near the Bristow exit.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that one of the vehicles likely hydroplaned, causing the accident.

Ikley-Freeman is being hospitalized for unknown injuries.

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An El Reno man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning, according to FOX25.

At 1:16 a.m. Brent Davis, 61, crashed into overhead sign support at high speeds while driving on I-40.

Davis was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive injuries.

One dead, one in critical condition in rollover accident

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A woman is dead and a man hospitalized after their vehicle experienced tire failure and went off-road on I-40, as reported by Oklahoma’s News4.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon a half mile east of Douglas Boulevard. The victims’ 1994 Ford Ranger was reported to have rolled an unknown amount of times.

The passenger, Jessielyn Smith, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was taken to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center with serious arm and internal injuries.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol detected the odor of alcohol on the driver but did not record this as a cause of the crash.

Smith was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
