Teen killed in Garvin County crash

GARVIN COUNTY, OK – An 18-year-old driver was involved in a fatal accident when her truck skidded off the road near Wynnewood Sunday evening, according to KOKH.

The accident occurred along Indian Meridian Road when Alexandria Morrison, 18, from Pauls Valley drove her Ford F-150 off the road and collided into an embankment around 6:00 p.m.

Morrison was pronounced dead upon Emergency Services’ arrival at the scene. Oklahoma Highway Patrol does not believe Morrison had her seatbelt when the crash happened.

Details regarding the cause of the crash are still under investigation.

Man dies in car crash that injures state senator

OKLAHOMA, OK – One person died Friday morning in a car crash which also injured State Senator Allison Ikley-Freeman, according to News9.

Ikley-Freeman was returning to Oklahoma City for a legislative session when she and Enrique Lopez collided on the Turner Turnpike near the Bristow exit.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that one of the vehicles likely hydroplaned, causing the accident.

Ikley-Freeman is being hospitalized for unknown injuries.

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Man dead after collision with street sign support

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An El Reno man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning, according to FOX25.

At 1:16 a.m. Brent Davis, 61, crashed into overhead sign support at high speeds while driving on I-40.

Davis was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive injuries.

One dead, one in critical condition in rollover accident

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A woman is dead and a man hospitalized after their vehicle experienced tire failure and went off-road on I-40, as reported by Oklahoma’s News4.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon a half mile east of Douglas Boulevard. The victims’ 1994 Ford Ranger was reported to have rolled an unknown amount of times.

The passenger, Jessielyn Smith, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was taken to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center with serious arm and internal injuries.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol detected the odor of alcohol on the driver but did not record this as a cause of the crash.

Smith was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Man killed in Monday night crash

PAWNEE COUNTY, OK – A man was killed and a young girl hospitalized after a Monday night car crash in Pawnee County, according to News9.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the accident happened on State Highway 48 at 11:17 p.m.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, was taken to Cleveland Hospital. The passenger, 57-year-old Mark Calibani, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is unknown at the moment.

Young man killed in rollover accident

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A young man was killed in a rollover accident Sunday morning, according to KOCO News 5.

Landon Elliot, 18, was found dead by his vehicle near Moccasin Trail Road at 10:20 a.m.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states that Elliot failed to yield at a stop sign. He then traveled across all the lanes of North Harris Avenue, went over the curb, through a ditch, and struck several trees.

Elliot’s 2011 Volkswagen is reported to have rolled an unknown amount of times. Elliot was ejected from his vehicle.

Elliot was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man dead after jumping off overpass

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – FOX25 reports that a man jumped off an I-40 overpass and fell to his death while fleeing the scene of an accident.

Two drivers suspected of driving under the influence were involved in a crash Monday near I-40 and Meridian.

One of the drivers jumped off the overpass in an attempt to run from the police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have the other driver in custody.

13-year-old boy killed in pedestrian accident in Westport

PAWNEE COUNTY, OK  – A 13-year-old pedestrian was killed by a vehicle on Thursday evening near Westport, in Pawnee County, according to KFOR.

Around 6 p.m. in northeast Oklahoma, a 30-year-old Kansas woman struck the 13-year-old boy as the child crossed from the south to the north side of US Highway 64.

The boy was hospitalized and later died. The woman and her six passengers, between ages 3-10, did not suffer any injuries.

Head-on collision killed two Guthrie teachers

Two teachers from a public school in Guthrie, Oklahoma were killed in a wrong-way accident in Payne County, KOCO reported on October 27.

The fatalities were identified as Heather Wilson, 27, and Jennifer Briggs, 24, both residents of Stillwater who carpooled to work together every morning. The accident allegedly occurred when Rocky Baca, 37, drove his van the wrong way down State Highway 33. The women attempted to avoid the collision but were hit head-on. Baca remains in the hospital for injuries, although details were not released. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Guthrie Public Schools superintendent Mike Simpson expressed the grief that the community is experiencing, especially the staff and students at Guthrie Junior High School, where both teachers taught. School counselors remain at hand.
