Update: Victims in fatal crash south of Guthrie have been identified

LOGAN COUNTY, OK – The victims of a fatal accident that took place south of Guthrie on Tuesday have been identified, reports Guthrie News Page.

The collision occurred on I-35 near mile marker 149 at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the names of the victims of the crash. The fatalities included Joshua Michael Hall, 38, of Oklahoma City; Jason Lingle, age unknown, of San Antonio, TX; and Armando Espinosa Jr., 38, also of San Antonio.  Both Lingle and Hall were in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado at the time of the crash. Espinosa was a pedestrian.

An unidentified 38-year-old man from Norman was taken to Edmond hospital and released after treatment.

An unidentified man from Texas who was driving a 2005 Peterbilt was not injured in the crash. He had possibly been towing another semi-truck at the time of the collision, though this has not been confirmed by OHP.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this time. The accident is currently under investigation.

3 dead in fiery, head-on collision involving multiple semis

LOGAN COUNTY, OK – Three people were killed in a fiery head-on collision that involved multiple semis Tuesday, reports News 9. The names of the people who died have not been released at this time.

The accident happened south of Guthrie on southbound Interstate 35. One semi was towing another when a third semi struck them, causing a major fire.

Roads were wet at the time of the accident but the Highway Patrol said it is unclear if the crash was weather-related at this time.

All lanes on southbound lanes I-35 were south of mile marker 149 were closed for seven hours following the accident.
