Injuries reported in I-40 crash

DEL CITY, OK – All eastbound lanes of I-40 were closed down for at least an hour following an injury collision late Wednesday afternoon.

According to the official Twitter page of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred along I-40 near the exit to Sunnylane Road at about 3:50 p.m.

Details regarding the cause of the collision are still under investigation.

The eastbound lanes on I-40 were reopened shortly before 5:20 p.m.
