Injury crash slows rush hour traffic in downtown OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Authorities with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to close down at least one lane along Interstate 235 southbound following a collision Tuesday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened on I-235 near the overpass with Interstate 40 at about 4:30 p.m.

Officials have reported injuries as a result of the crash. However, the extent of those injuries, as well as the number of people hurt, has not yet been made available.

The southbound lanes of I-235 at I-40 have since been reopened.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials have blocked off at least one lane on Interstate 35 following a collision with reported injuries Monday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of I-35 near the State Highway 9 offramp just after 7:00 p.m.

Oklahoma Senate candidate injured in OKC hit-and-run

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Abby Broyles, the Democratic nominee for a seat in the U.S. Senate was injured following a hit-and-run collision north of Oklahoma City Sunday night.

According to KOCO, the incident occurred near the intersection of Memorial Road and Western Avenue north of downtown Oklahoma City.

Broyles was proceeding through a traffic light when another vehicle ran the light and collided with her vehicle in the intersection. The other driver quickly fled the scene without rendering assistance to Broyles.

Luckily, only minor injuries were sustained in the crash and Broyles is recovering at home. Details on the driver who fled the scene of the crash have not yet been made available.

Vehicle crashes into Oklahoma City creek

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in Del City have reported multiple injuries after a sedan careened into a creek east of downtown Oklahoma City Friday.

According to Fox 25, the incident occurred in Crutcho Creek near the intersection of Reno Avenue and Vickie Drive sometime in the morning hours.

Officials reduced three individuals who were partly submerged in the vehicle. Details regarding thier condition and what may have lead up to the crash have not yet been made available.

Oklahoma City pursuit ends with car careening into a creek

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The driver of a stolen vehicle collided into a creek bed following a short pursuit with Oklahoma City Police on Wednesday.

According to KOCO, the chase involving a pickup truck that had been reported stolen ensured after officials attempted to stop the truck within the 500 block of South Meridian Avenue. The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed into a creek near the intersection of Southwest 15th Street and Portland Avenue.

Witnesses say they saw one individual being taken away in an ambulance following the crash. Thier identity and condition have not yet been released.
